-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear [[-FullName-]],
Lately, there has been much action in the Search and Email space. Like one of the articles says "In truth, Amazon and Google are speeding from two ends toward a very fertile middle ground where commerce and search meet."
Just to give an idea of the scale involved - Google's annual revenues are estimated to be close to a billion dollars with a gross profit margin of about 30%. It doesn't have to disclose earnings, not being public so far. And not to be left behind, the Seattle Gorilla, Microsoft, has also one in the works.
Read on. Cheers.

"With a dozen companies racing towards the goal of the sub-$1,000 genome, the day when your DNA is sequenced and burnt on to a CD-Rom for roughly the cost of a conventional health checkup is not far off."

Googling the genome
The international Human Genome Project took 15 years of intensive work at a cost of some $3bn. The result was not the genome of any one person, but a kind of mosaic of several anonymous individuals.
In near future, a bioinformatics program running on a PC could easily check our genomes for all genes associated with the autosomal recessive disorders that had been identified so far. Regular software updates downloaded from the internet - like those for anti-virus programs - would keep our search software abreast of the latest medical research.
