TESTIMONIAL
A fine balance

This Bangalore-based ITES major caters to critical overseas requirements. It needed a solution that could provide automatic failover and load balancing between their two Internet leased links. Despite extensive evaluation, a satisfactory option eluded them.

Yukthi came into the picture, studied the problem thoroughly and delivered a solution based on Linux. This option met most of their parameters on uptime, security and cost-effectiveness. And it's been working flawlessly!

Dear Friend,

Welcome back.

Email. No other technology tool has had such an impact in the last decade on the work life of an individual. Look at it from any angle, and there isn't a segment that's not affected. On the positive side, business communication happens almost at the speed of light, saves paper and has eliminated distance. And tech savvy elderly types with folks out there in the US talk of Email as if they grew up with it!

But Email also happens to be most abused of all Internet tools and is a cause of serious concern. This issue of Yukthi Infoswitch highlights some aspects of Email, and how one can exploit it optimally as a communication device, despite all the irritants. Hope it contributes to your understanding in a small way.

Regards - Ramakant Jawalkar

For many business people, e-mail is integral to their marketing and selling efforts -- cutting back on that would mean missed opportunities.

TRIVIA: A peep into the history of Email

E-mail before the Internet

Despite common belief, e-mail actually pre-dates the Internet; in fact, existing e-mail systems were a crucial tool in creating the Internet.

E-mail started in 1965 as a way for multiple users of a time-sharing mainframe computer to communicate; although the exact history is murky.
